In its continuous effort to promote workforce development, Salesforce has introduced The Reimagined Trailblazer Community on 21st June’21.
Along with that, Salesforce had also issued a grant of $700,000 to its long-term partner and non-profit organization Year Up to reduce the opportunity gap for young individuals.
Both these announcements came at a time where digital skills are in demand, but they’re not enough supply for this requirement.
A recent report suggests that nine out of ten executives face skills shortages to tackle critical issues. Also, many don’t have sufficient resources or time to learn new skills as they remain out of the job.

The reimagined Trailblazer Community
Salesforce has associated its free learning platformTrailhead with the online community platform Trailblazer to create a reimagined Trailblazer community.
The new Trailblazer community aims to offer a unified platform for people to learn new skills from experts and peers and explore job opportunities in the Salesforce ecosystem.
The biggest takeaways of the new platform are-
A personalized homepage called Today page – This personalized homepage is a one-place destination for community feed,in-process learning modules, and recommended Trailhead modules.
The Learning Panel – The learning panel brings up relevant learning content from community interactions on Topic and question pages. The Panel does this by suggesting learning modules that are relevant to your conversations and questions.
Community in Trailhead GO – Trailhead’s free mobile app Trailhead Go has been brought into the Trailhead community. With this app, members will be able to get answers to their questions quickly from anywhere by accessing direct messages.
Closing opportunity gap with Year Up Grant
Year Up is a non-profit organization that works towards narrowing the opportunity gap for young people by imparting relevant skills and experiences to them.
Likewise, Salesforce is committed to the same goal of closing opportunity gaps.
Hence, Continuing with this pledge, Salesforce has extended its support to Year Up by announcing a grant of $700000.
This figure takes Salesforce’s financial support to Year Up to $9.2 million and its overall grant towards workforce development to $30 million.
Not only this, but Salesforce has also hosted Year Up’s 700 interns across The United States.
Apart from that, Salesforce has also partnered with Year Up to create an ongoing talent pipeline for the Salesforce system.
