As Amazon has Alexa, Apple has Siri, Salesforce launched Einstein Voice Assistant bringing the power of voice to the Salesforce users.

What is an Einstein Voice Assistant?

Einstein Voice Assistant is an intelligent conversational CRM. Seen as the new frontier of Salesforce CRM, it is a complete voice assistant solution that can be integrated with your Salesforce enabling you to make changes to Salesforce all by voice such as creating a contact, logging a call, or updating an opportunity. It uses Voice Recognition, Natural Language Processing, and AI-powered technologies, and can be tailored to understand and respond to corporate jargon.

Einstein Voice Assistant can also be tailored for each user-profile and their different voice skill sets. It can be used to update customer records, dictate notes, and access the Salesforce cloud. You just need to speak and it will do the tasks for you.

When Einstein Voice Assistant is retiring?

Salesforce has retired Einstein Voice Assistant on July 10, 2020.

The official announcement was very brief and quiet. In the Salesforce Summer 20’ Release Notes they simply stated that the “Einstein Voice Assistant Is Being Retired (Beta)” Apparently, the Einstein AI Platform is here to stay and Salesforce continues to add new features to it but without the voice assistant.

Why Einstein Voice Assistant is retiring?

It has been presumed that the Einstein Voice Assistant development team has been shifted to the development of the Salesforce Anywhere App. While the Einstein Voice Assistant was focused on doing more on the run, with the recent event of the pandemic, the focus has been moved to more collaboration tools and apps that deliver high productivity from anywhere. Salesforce Anywhere App includes voices capabilities, and text and video messaging within the Salesforce org.

Salesforce has retired Einstein Voice Assistant on Salesforce mobile apps for Android and iOS in Developer, Enterprise, Professional, and Unlimited editions and in the Lightning Experience.
